Beginning Bones

Come and learn to play the bones, an instrument that is portable, inexpensive, easy to play, prehistoric in origin, and always in tune. No experience is necessary, and there will be bones you can borrow. Rick will cover holding the bones, the tap, flam, roll and extended roll, accents, producing different rhythms, and dynamic levels. Beginning Bodhrán

Intermediate Bodhrán

This intermediate workshop will cover open and closed rhythms, syncopation, pitch and timbre, ornamentation, dynamics, and other concepts that can make bodhrán accompaniment and solos more interesting.
