At Dusty Strings, we like to see everyone in the family taking part in the music-making! That's why we offer classes, workshops, jams, and lessons to introduce kids to music and various instruments, and why we stock a variety of kid-friendly musical toys and quality instruments, too. Music Together^® Classes at Dusty Strings!

Dusty Strings is collaborating with Music Center of the Northwest, our neighbor to the north, to present Music Together, music classes for young children and the grown-ups who love them. Music Together® is an internationally recognized music program designed for 6-month-old through 4-year-old little ones accompanied by a parent or other caregiver. Music Together is based on the recognition that all children are musical, and that all children can learn to sing in tune, keep a beat, and participate with confidence in music. Central to the Music Together approach is that young children learn best from the powerful role model of parents/caregivers who are actively making music.

Private Lessons for Kids

Our private lesson teachers regularly take on young students. In the private lesson pages, find the instrument your youngster wants to explore and take a look at the profiles of the teachers. You can see there the youngest ages at which each instructor will start new students.

Also, we have a faculty member who specializes in kids of a young age, from 4-1/2 up. Our teacher Erie Jones has many years of experience working with kids of all ages, and can teach new students on a variety of instruments.
