Bring your harp to this in-depth introduction to the folk harp tradition. Learn tuning, harp care, hand position and fingering, beginning tunes (ability to read music not necessary), tone production, and more. Susan will get you started making your harp a lifetime source of beauty and enjoyment. For players with little or no experience.

Continuing from Harp 1, or for those with a bit of experience, we'll work on fingering tunes, tone production, technique, and accompanying other instruments or voice. Susan's goal is to provide you with a lifetime musical outlet for your expression and creativity.

First-time players will explore topics such as tuning, posture, hand position/fingering techniques, and a little harp-related music theory. You’ll progress from chords to single-note right-hand playing, and by the final class will be able to play right-hand melody and left-hand accompaniment to a folk song. Email Michael here.
