When we first began designing harps in 1984, our testing led us to a combination of soundbox and soundboard construction and string design that gave a particularly bright, crisp, and balanced sound. We liked it a lot and solicited input from harp players to confirm it would serve a wide variety of playing styles well. We have worked ever since to maintain and develop that sound, and it has become a recognized characteristic of Dusty Strings harps.
