The D300 has three octaves of fully chromatic range; the lowest note is the D below middle C. There are 13 courses of strings on the treble bridge and 12 courses on the bass bridge. A super-bass bridge to the far left has 7 courses and there are two courses in the upper left corner. This configuration is often referred to as "13/12/7".
The overall range is D3 to E6; chromatic range is E3 to E6.
